Would be nice if BMP, and perhaps character slot or other add-ons can be considerred.
|
The BMP was once given "only" to people who bought EoTN online..... and after it was possible to buy it at Games stores, so perhaps it would be possible for Anet to give the fire Imps to all the people who only have bought all the campaigns at the shop. It would be only fair.
Also lots of people have bought character slots and other various items from the online store, why punish them now?
/Angelica
PS. Sorry! You people are right I forgot about the 30 dollars buy online, it's was advertised at the same time of EoTN.... and that got me confused!

Absolutely wrong. BMP was given too people who spent 30 bucks at the online store and many at the release of BMP rushed to buy EOTN to meet the requirement. Still many got bmp from skill slots.

You get a 10k gold reward?
I thought people were talking about 10k XP!
Heck - I might even do the quests then!

That's right, I got my BMP from 3 character slots.
Since in the in-game store we see ALL items in Product page do offer this stone, and I already have all of them, it then prevents me from getting this new feature.
Actually, it would be fun if ANET provides 2 different versions of 1 Million Editions. For that we will able to obtain weapons with different designs.
Otherwise, as none of products in Upgrade page of in-game store offers summoning stone, it can be quite sad to us who missed it.
I have bought Game of the Year on my 2nd account, enjoyed the summon stone a lot. Not in presear but in nightfall, very helpful to carry out quests at low level. Honestly, this imp makes me feel like I don't want to level up up at all, and like to enjoy some more time with it. XD
Now all I am expecting is the possitive response from ANET so I can activate the stone on my beloved primary account.

If people had bothered to look, the summoning imp is now available as an upgrade in the online store... it was added as part of last nights update.

An update to stir some interest into GW, besides the typical title grind. The new content was a nice change of pace, although very short-lived.
Also, if you own the prerequisite titles for the Fire Imp, then you should have access to it. I don't want to hear the horseshit flaming of the retail buyers for crying because they didn't get a bonus to which they should be entitled. Money was spent for the same content; period.

No, I don't need the Fire Imp either, but I figure if Anet is giving a bonus to people who bought all 4 games, it should include the people who bought their four games in a store. Not doing so leaves a lot of people out, and there's no good reason not to give it to everyone who purchased all the games.

I think the fire imp summon is their attempt at testing out an ally for guild wars 2. I remember in an interview they said you could either get a companion to help you out while you do stuff, or if you didn't take one that you could be more powerful yourself.

Stop complaining about "i have all 4 games i get an imp it shouldn't be a restriction" well first of all, there are other things like BMP and the GoYE weapons not everyone could get them if u had all 4 games, so anet desided u need to buy the GoYE to get the imp, its a $5 pack u get free weapons and a imp. anyways the imp isnt much worth it for lvl 20s, not everything is free anet need to make some money out of what items are. OH and summoning stones seem very similar to WoW?

yeah can summon in pre.
i like it in pre, its not really imba because its not that strong,if it dies its gone till the stone recharges and only 1 in an area at a time. could be alot worse.

Team with a monk or be a monk yourself can be very helpful
As I have purchased GoTY pack for my secondary account, I made a monk in presearing, let the imp do the damage job and I just run around and heal when is needed.

The imp is somewhat questionable. He is on par with a hero ele. I was on a level 15 monk which is imba for pre anyway, stacked some char at the brush and left them there for my death level while I went clear the temple and the bosses. I decide to whip out the imp figuring he would help with the monk boss and a double shaman patrol. The imp is just insane. He killed everything at the temple surprisingly fast. Then I found out you can't get rid of the guy. He can't be dismissed with the summoning stone...

yea i dont see why every time they do something its got to be for everyone to be made available, thats part of the problem now and no real way to seperate yourself from the just playing to the true loyal fan at same time and be rewarded for being loyal overtime.
Take BMP for example , yes i do understand why they made it available but it was truly meant as a promotion to get ppl to buy online, if most had known it was $10 later in store do u think most would have spent $30 online when promotion was going on .... meh probably not. This is the part that bothers me a bit bout ANET when they dont show they have guts at times
However as far as the new mish's and the new golem and the fire imp THANX ANET , seriously glad to see that while its slow u havent exactly put GW1 behind u as we look onto GW2. I seriously hope though that if u consider doing more "helpers" like the imp could u please make some for lvl 20's, I have too many now and wouldnt think of doing a new toon til we get 7 heroes lol ....

Not much like WoW at all. The heathstone in WoW allows you to warp to an inn once per hour. If you just mean a similar cooldown then yeah I guess, but there aren't any summonable allies in WoW that are available to everyone (or nearly everyone I should say).
